the Art

We live in a world that moves faster than that for which humans were designed. As a by-product, we are extremely wasteful and disconnected from each other and the earth on which we live. Reclaimed wood mosaics are artworks that repurpose our waste and reconnect us to the wild.

the Artist

I have been creating reclaimed wood mosaics since 2017, but the skills needed to develop this form of art are the result of woodworking and creative pursuits starting back in my youth.

My history is one of being a serial entrepreneur who has started and moved on from several ventures including snow cone stands, woodworking, race director, sign maker, and pasturing a church start-up.  I hold a B.A. in Kinesiology and a M.A. in Philosophy and Religion.

In 2020 I moved back to Eau Claire, WI for a second time to be near family. I work as a full time artist and travel to take part in some of the largest art festivals in the United States. My belief is that art can anchor us to those transcendental values of goodness, beauty, and truth found right here on the earth around us.
